1. Which blend modes did you experiment with and then use in your project?
I enjoyed experimenting with drop , inner and outer shadows, inner and outer glow, pattern overlay, satin overlay, and the gradient tool.
2. How did you use the stacking order to produce your final results in your most complex composite?
For the composite of the Alaska Postcard, I layered text above the green layer because I didn't want the text to be affected by the opacity of the green layer, whereas I wanted the other images to have a faint green wash. For the other layers it depended on the size and nature of the images. If something was too big and would obscure something else, I would move this toward the bottom of the stack.
3. What layer effects did you use? Which layer styles did you apply to another layer?
I feel like drop shadow and inner and outer glow helped a lot with the definition of images- making them more defined against the background. I enjoyed playing around with those effects and opacity.
4. What key elements of layer managements in this module that you plan to use in future projects?
I think I will apply a lot of what I learned to future projects. Now that I know how the effects work, it will be a lot quicker to add them in future projects. I like the pattern overlay, but didn't discover it until my last composite. I think I'll use that more (just to play around with it).
5. What challenges did you experience in the process?
I think I had an idea in mind before I went to work, but then I would realize I hadn't completed one of the requirements for my composite. I had a hard time letting go and adding another effect that I didn't necessarily want to add. I think the process, in general, was pretty easy though.
6. What keyboard shortcuts are you using regularly now?
I'm still using a lot of the same shortcuts. I haven't been playing around with new shortcuts too much.
