Camera Raw helps put a more natural, "what it really looked like to my eye and not what the camera recorded" appearance to photos. The vignetting can be a bit gimmicky but can help focus the viewers attention on the subject.
2) Describe how you will use the Preset feature in the future:
It can be convenient when you have a batch of photo's taken under similar circumstances, which means that unless you do a lot of shooting in a studio using the same settings a custom preset is likely to be of limited use beyond a particular batch of images.
3) What was your intent for results by using the dodge, burn and sponge features:
To create a more natural appearance and even out the balance between the lighter areas and the darker areas.
4) Explain how you decided which healing tools to remove imperfections of images:
I guess it really depends on the size and nature of the area to be edited and which one I think will do the best job.
5) What challenges did you experience in the process:
I find it hard to detect small subtle changes so I tend to end up doing things a bit more than they need to be and the results are generally less than satisfactory.
6) What keyboard shortcuts are you using regularly now:
Option-mouse scroll to zoom in and out.
